How Booking Works
From your first enquiry to the drop-off, in six steps. This page tells you what you pay, who you pay, and what you get in writing before any money changes hands.
Four things to know first
- A quote is free and reserves nothing. Until you pay a deposit, the vehicle can still be booked by someone else.
- Your booking is confirmed only when we have received your deposit and sent you written confirmation.
- The deposit is not refundable, so check every detail of your quote before you pay it.
- You pay the deposit to us and the balance to the operator supplying your vehicle.
The six steps
-
Choose a vehicle and ask for a quote
- You pay nothing
Browse the full fleet, or start with popular choices such as Hummer limos, party buses and wedding cars. If you are not sure what suits your group, our guides on which limo to hire and passenger capacity will narrow it down.
Then use the quote form, call or message us. Tell us the date, the collection address, the destination, how many passengers, and the time you need to arrive. Say whether you need a one-way, return or hourly hire, and mention anything in our accessibility and special requirements guide that applies to you.
-
We send your quote in writing
- You pay nothing
Your quote shows the price, the deposit, the payment deadline and the terms for changing or cancelling. The price is fixed for the journey you described. It only changes if you change the booking or the hire runs over time. To compare it, see our starting prices and what is included with limo hire.
-
Pay the deposit to secure your date
- Deposit paid to Limo Hire in London
- Not refundable
You can pay by bank transfer or by debit or credit card. Quote your booking reference so we can match the payment to your booking. Only use the payment details shown on your quote. If anyone asks you to pay another way, call us before you send anything.
-
We confirm your booking in writing
- By email
Once your deposit arrives we email your booking confirmation. Check the date, times, addresses, vehicle and passenger numbers, and tell us straight away if anything is wrong. Until you have this confirmation, you do not have a booking.
-
Pay the balance
- Balance paid to the operator
- By the date on your confirmation
The balance is paid directly to the operator supplying your vehicle. The operator may contact you before the hire to arrange it. If the balance is not paid when it is due, the operator can cancel the booking. Our About us page explains how we choose and check our operators.
-
The day of your hire
- Extra time: £150 per hour
Be ready at the collection time, because waiting eats into your hire. If you think you will need longer, tell the chauffeur or call us as soon as you know. Extra time depends on the vehicle being free and is charged at £150 for each hour over. Our rules on alcohol, children, luggage and behaviour cover what is allowed on board. If anything goes wrong, call us while it is happening and follow our complaints procedure.
What changes for your occasion
The six steps are the same for every booking. What we need from you at the quote stage is not.
- Proms
- A parent or other responsible adult must make or approve the booking. Tell us the school, the prom venue, every collection address and whether you need a return journey. No alcohol is provided to under-18s. Prom dates fill early, so read how far in advance to book.
- Weddings
- Give us the ceremony time and we work back from it. Tell us in advance about any photo stops so they are built into the schedule. We confirm the full itinerary with you before the day.
- Airport transfers
- Send your flight details, your terminal and the number and size of your bags, because luggage space decides which vehicle will work. We have separate guides for Heathrow and Gatwick.
- Hen parties, stag dos and nights out
- List every stop and agree any return journey when you book, because the vehicle may have another booking afterwards. If you are collecting from several addresses, see our guide to planning multiple pickups.
- Children’s parties
- A responsible adult must make or approve the booking, and every child counts towards the passenger limit. Tell us the children’s ages so we can advise on seating and car seats.
- Corporate travel
- Send the full itinerary for a tailored quote. Waiting time during a meeting or event can usually be arranged if you ask when you book.
Changing your booking
You can change your booking up to seven days before the hire. Changes depend on availability and may alter the price. We will tell you the cost before we make the change, and we confirm every change in writing.
Cancelling
Cancellations must be made in writing, by email or by post. We cannot accept a cancellation by phone. The deposit is not refundable and every cancellation carries a minimum charge of £150. The full amount depends on how much notice you give, so cancel as early as you can and keep a copy of what you send. The full wording is in our terms and conditions.
If your vehicle has to change
Vehicles break down and occasionally fail a safety check. If the vehicle you booked becomes unavailable, we will look for an equivalent or better one. We cannot promise the replacement will match the colour or interior of the original.
When to book
Book as early as you can for prom season, summer weddings, weekends, Christmas and New Year, when the most popular vehicles go first. Short-notice bookings are sometimes possible, so it is always worth asking.
